  1. FROM A MOTHER WHO LOST HER CHILD @19 WEEKS:

Please keep trying to find the heartbeat.. if you cant find it in the next day or two call the doctor... I think its wonderful you are keeping up with the baby.. If I had only had one of these I would have known right away...

Every year, roughly 576,000 babies die between 14 weeks gestation and one month of life. There are more deaths due to miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss than there are to cancer or heart attacks. And that is not even including the one in four who miscarry in the first trimester of pregnancy.

This is why you got your doppler... and to those who left those ugly remarks... stick it up your a@$

  2. you shouldn't even be worrying about your babies heartbeat ,especially at this early stage, leave that to your doctor or midwife

edit,  to hope its a girl again, please tell me what having a doppler would have done to have saved yours or any other baby that is misscarried,it happens and a doppler sadly wont stop it sorry

  3. At 12 weeks, finding the heartbeat can be tricky. 120 is still in the normal range. Maybe the baby was just asleep causing it to be lower than it had been. And maybe now it is just positioned different. Try to not worry. If it would make you feel better give your doctor a call.

  4. I am sure it's fine but always call the doctor so that you don't stress out all day about it. That early is hard to consistently hear a hear beat!

  5. i would just call your dr office.  I am sure everything is ok don't worry and call the dr

  6. Let me guess you have purchased one of those take it home dopplers from the pharmacy?  You think they are going to help, but really they are more trouble that they're worth. At 12 weeks your baby is so small that your lucky to have found the heartbeat at all.  If you are experiecing any other symptoms associated with miscarriage (lower back pain, severe cramps, bleeding, instict feeling that something is wrong) then call the dr. but if this is the only thing then I wouldnt worry about it.  Those dopplers you can buy arn't nearly as state of the art as the ones in dr.s offices or you'd be paying thousands of dollars for it. So don't freak out.

  7. stop overdoing it...i wouldn't worry until at least 20 weeks on...

  8. This is why women shouldn't buy their own dopplers - it makes you paranoid when you know nothing about what is normal or abnormal.

Heart rates fluctuate- in babies and adults.

And at 12 weeks you're lucky to find it at all on your own. Many women can't find it with a doppler on their own until much later in the pregnancy.

  9. the baby has probably moved and you just can't find it now. check with your doctor if it really concerns you
