Question:

My baby's legs seem swollen??

Last night my son was crying for me to pick him up when he was playing in the exersaucer. I noticed that his legs seemed swollen, maybe even a little purple. Is it possible that the presssure on his legs may have cut off a bit of circulation? Any other ideas of what the problem could be? (He is 4 and a half months old) Thanks!

  1. Are they still swollen? If so, call the dr. If not, you might try and move the exersaucer up a notch or two- I know my son needed that because his feet were flat on the ground and that made his legs swollen.

  2. if this continues I would talk to your doctor just to double check it could be from playing, but if he starts to lose feeling then I would start to really worry, my suggestion to talk to the doctor for a peace of mind.

  3. well, what do they look like now, today? The same...yes go to the doc asap.  If they look normal now, don't use the exersaucer anymore.

  4. It is probably the pressure from the material around his legs while in the exersaucer.  Can you adjust the seat a little or maybe you should wait until he is old enough to stand on his legs while in the exersaucer about 6 months.

  5. Take him to the doctor!
