My baby calf???????????

I have a calf that is almost a week old and was very thin.He gained some weight but now he has VERY runny yellow p**p with some blood.And he looks thinner.What can cows get??What should i do??

Sounds like he has scours.  Take a stool sample to your local large-animal vet to make sure he's doesn't have worms or coccidiosis.  Your vet will also be able to give you the proper medication based on the stool sample.  Keep his fluid levels up so he doesn't get dehydrated.  There is also an electrolyte solution you can feed him, but definately consult a vet.  Good Luck!

Call a vet now. Diarrhea in a calf can be fatal. He may need antibiotics. He definately needs electrolites which your vet can recommend. Do not delay as time is critical.
