The mom is Cinnamon and the dad is Normal Grey. They have 3 babies and all 3 are identical (same color but each one a little smaller than the other - that's how we can tell them apart! :-)

They are a very light yellow all throughout, with orange cheeks and their heads are still yellow but a little brighter yellow. My question is, will their color change? are they Lutino cockatiels?

  1. They are Lutino if they have red eyes, and they will change just slightly. I have 4 of them, and all of my Lutino babies are always female. Mother was a cinnamon, and father is a pied. Sometimes the red eyes will darken. The only way I can tell mine apart is by personality.

  2. They're Lutino if they have red eyes. They might change in color slightly (not like yellow to blue, just a sharper yellow or something like that), and their eyes might get a little darker red.

  3. If your babies are indeed lutino then they are also all females. The lutino mutation is s*x-linked and as your female is not carrying that gene (she would look lutino if she were) then your male must be split for lutino. Offspring from that pairing that look lutino can only be female.
