My baby is one month old and is vomitting after feedings. (He is only being breastfed.) When he is about to vomit he turns and red and he starts twisting his body. It continues after the feedings. These symptoms just started after he turned one month. I have been reading about reflux, and am wondering if babys can get reflux at any time in their infancy, or if they are born that way. He never had any of this symptoms before.

  1. take him to the doctor, my baby started with reflux at 1 month old as well so you might want to get him checked out

  2. Most parents find out that their child has developed reflux while they are infants. My son, (now 1 years old), had developed similar symptoms and many more at 6 weeks old. He was hospitalized for 2 weeks before they actually found out what was wrong with him. They then diagnosed him with cows milk protein allergy. Maybe you can look that up when you have a chance.(if anything else starts to go wrong). But besides that is could be gas. Hope this helps!!!

  3. Maybe your feeding him too much

  4. Have you changed something is your diet as this only started recently?

  5. That happens to my brother too,but his doctor just said it was snot from being sick(gross, sorry!)and my brother takes bottles REALLY fast,so he throws up a lot!But my brother started throwing up at about 4 months,so I don't know what to say!Make sure you burp him!

  6. Reflux tends to show signs right after birth. When you say vomiting - how much is it? Is it projectile - does it go a far distance? How often does he vomit?

  7. My baby has reflux he is 15 weeks and he started throwing up after feedings at around 7 weeks.

I called my pediatritian and she told me to take him to the ER to make sure it was not serious and the ER Doctor told us it was reflux.

He said baby will usually start showing symptoms AROUND 6 weeks old. So the next day the pediatritian perscribed Axid wich is really easy to give and it stoped almost instantly. (Old Wives Tale) that the Doctor and Pediatritian told me it is most common it first born sons????

We still have to sit him up after feedings because he will still spit up quite a lot!

    I know it's frustrating!

    Good Luck!

  8. It could be reflux, allergies, a stomach virus, you're over-feeding him, it could be anything.  Take him to the doctor.

  9. It sounds more like gas. Are you sure you're burping enough?
