My baby is almost seven months old. When can I expect the following?

My son will be seven months old on the 28th. I think this age is such a cute stage for him. I'm so excited for everything new he does daily! Right now he can roll over both ways and can sit up all day long when I place him in the sitting position. When did your child start getting into the sitting position on their own? Start crawling? Start pulling up? And start holding their own bottle?? I am still waiting on all of the above on my son though he can hold his bottle but I find that he gets lazy after a minute or two and wants mom to hold it for him!

This question is just for fun and because I'm so anxious for him to experience new things! Please don't give me slack for comparing babies!!

4 months: roll around room

5-6 months: scoot around room (not really a crawl but could get around the room with ease)

7 months: Sit and pull up holding onto furniture

9 months: Took a few steps

10 months: Walked

She is now 9 years old.  :-(

My son just turned a year old last Thursday. He never started to crawl until he was about 10.5 months old maybe even 11 months old. He never really liked to crawl so he just walked around the couches holding on or the wall. He'd let go of the couch to grab the other one but just before his 1st birthday he finally took about 5 steps alone. He still has no teeth, and can't talk though. He will make a lot of noises and yell but no words. So really everything is completely different with every baby.

My daughter was about 6.5 months when she sat up on her own and crawled.  Pulling up, my daughter started at 7 months, and now holds on to things and walks (like the walls of her play yard, she'll scale the edges lol.) She started to hold her own bottle at about 6 months, but I gave her a sippy cup then also, and she uses that most of the time.

i have 4 children ages 6, 4, 2 1/2, & 8 months.  The crawling just depends on the child.  My 4 yr old crawled at 6 months.  I kid you not!  The 6 yr old & 2 1/2 yr old crawled between 9-11 months.  The 8 month old hates to be on her stomach so i'm not sure she will ever crawl & has no interest in trying to pull up on anything.  She just wiggles around on her bottom till she gets what she wants.  They all started pulling up on things shortly after crawling.  the 2 1/2 yr old didn't walk till he was 13 months which i thought was a really long time but from what i've read, up to 14 mos is normal.  All of mine were breast fed so none of them had much interest in holding a bottle or sippi when they needed to.  It's the best thing in the world isn't it!  Enjoy!!!

My son starting sitting up at 4.5 months.

He could sit up well at around 6 months.  He rolled over from stomach to back at around 3.5 months and from back to stomach at around 5.5 months.

He started getting into the sitting position on his own around 9 months.

He started crawling at 7 months, an army crawl, a two knee crawl at around 10 months

He started pulling up at around 8 months. and he Never held his own bottle =) I always held it for him and loved it!

Now he is 2  years and 3 months

My son will be 9 months old in a few days and still has not crawled.  He has been sitting on his own since 7 months but hasn't done any of the other things yet.  He will definitly not hold his bottle either, he will just like yours, hold it for a minute and then just let it drop!  I can;t wait for him to crawl!  He gets really frustrated bc he can't!

I was hooked on the book "What to Expect the First Year".  I looked at it allllllllllllllllllll the time to see what she may do next and compare it to what she was already doing.  It is so exciting to wonder whats coming.  The biggest truth is who knows!?!  Mine rolled over at 4 months, sat up at 6 months, scooting at 6 1/2 months, crawling at 7 and is standing holding herself up along things and walking down the side of everything now (i guess they call that cruising).  She is 9 months old and on a roll.  I love it more than anything in this world. It does make them tired and want to cuddle a little more and then she is back at it.  Kimmy officially says mama, dada, hey, kiki (cats), gammaw (grandma), baba and knows what they mean.  She uses then when she wants them.  It is soooooooo fun!!!   Like you I can't wait see what is comming next.   Congradulations on becomming a first time mommy, I am too.  Some babies never crawl and actually go too walking, so who knows.  I'm rambling because it is so fun to talk about.  Enjoy everything about him and take tons of pictures.

my daughter is 7 1/2 mo and i LOVE this age!!! She started holding ehr bottle at around 5 months. She started sitting up on her own at 6 months. she started crawling at 6 months and started pulling herself up at 7 months. She stands on everythign and she keeps trying to let go. She wants to walk so bad. She stand holding on to one of those kiddie chairs and my grandma walks with her using hte chair as a walker. She's so proud of herself when she "walks". she looks at me and smiles so big.
