  1. At that point they are still eating every 3-4 hours. Depending on how much food your baby demands, I would say probably stick to about 4 oz, maybe more if you have a little piggers like we did... But closer to 4oz.

  2. You won't overfeed her.

Just feed her when she's hungry and don't feed her after she's full.

I was feeding my twins every 2-3 hours at that age, anywhere from 3-4 ounces at a time... but it varies SO MUCH!

One of my twins wanted to eat more, one less, one more often, one less often.

You really have to listen to their cues.

  3. You can not overfeed the baby, they will eat when they are hungry.  Average is about 2 oz every 2 hours but that is just an average and each baby is different.  A baby should never go more than 4 hrs and a 4 wk old baby should be eating more like every 1-3 hrs.  At that age is it an on demand thing.

  4. I have a 7 week old and i was having the same issue. my son's dr said to let him tell you when he's hungry. so we feed him on demand. its working better for us like this.

  5. She should be eating whenever she shows signs of hunger, and taking as much as she wants. If she gets full, she will stop. Don't worry about overfeeding her - you can't overfeed a new baby. Their tummies are so small, that they need frequent feedings. And once they are full, they aren't going to keep going (like some adults do!).
