  1. Quit giving it to her...that stuff is nasty. Have you tasted it? Yuck. My babe refused it, puzzled I took a sip and promptly spit it back out. I'd of rather guzzled salt water, taste the same. I felt so bad, here I was trying to make my baby drink that yucky stuff.

Gingerale, apple juice watered down, chicken broth, water or Gatorade watered down.

Just continue to offer her sips of fluids...try from your cup. She'll like that...drinking from a big cup, like a big girl.

  2. Well juice can make diarrhea worse, so don't give her any.  As for the pedialyte, don't give her a choice as to whether she can drink it.  If you have to, put a tiny amount of juice in it so she thinks you are pouring juice in her cup.  Worked with my niece up until she was 2 years old.

  3. I think as long as she is drinking fluids, she ought to be okay. Keep her hydrated any way that you can. And take her to the doc if it doesn't clear up by itself in a couple of days.

Is she teething or otherwise sick? That might be the cause of it as well. Just keep her bottom clean and dry to avoid a rash and let her have her milk and juice.

  4. Lower calorie Gatorade.  Although it has sugar substitute in it, which is never good for children regularly, mixing a little of it with water on the rare occasion she is sick will help (the sugar in regular juice and Gatorade is what makes it worse for the diarrhea).  Otherwise just plain water in the bottle is fine!  Chicken broth is also excellent because the sodium in it helps rehydrate.  But I know my 15 month old wouldn't drink chicken broth!

  5. Well the important thing is to keep her hydrated.  My pediatrician says offer her what ever she will take.... So if milk and juice is all tha tshe will take than I would just offer it to her more often.  You can also try plain water or try a little sugar water.  hope this helps.

  6. My daughter hates pedialyte (who wouldn't?) but she loves the pedialyte popsicles. She has no idea she's not eating a regular popsicle and she's getting hydrated at the same time. I had a hard time finding them in the store though. They are not in the frozen section. I'd ask the pharmacist to tell you where they are. They come in liquid form, like otter pops, and when you get home you put them in the freezer. They're great!

  7. dont make her guzzle it because it can make diarrhea worse anyway- that stuff tastes gross- you can water it down or give it every so often by the tablespoon full. if your baby is eating great and taking fluid well then im sure she'll be fine

  8. My son was the same way when he was sick. Try mixing the flavor free pedialyte with her normal juice. I know that Walmart makes a flavorless electrolyte drink, if pedialyte doesn't.

  9. mine wouldnt drink it either our pediatrician suggested we try gerber liquilites or something like that but she wouldnt drink that either he then suggested 7up or sprite but she didnt like soda and only wanted water he said it wasnt the best thing to give her but if that was all she would take let her have it but she was also vomiting.

  10. You really only wanna give pedialyte when they are dehydrated bc it can make the diarrhea worse.  As long as she's drinking something and eating she's ok.  If you really want her to have the pedialyte you can grab them in the Popsicle form, but I really think she'll be okay without it.  Good luck and hope she feels better!

  11. Have you tasted pedialyte?  Ewww?

    Make some homemade rehydration solution:

Otherwise is she must have milk I would try rice milk as it is easier on the intestines.  You could make it chocolate as chocolate treats diarrhea.
