  1. Did you check the day care before? it is very important to know that you will be putting you baby in a good place. do you know the reputation of the place? does it have a website and reviews from other parents? now many day cares have cams that you can check your child at office from their website

  2. If the child is an infant expect for it to be harder on you than it is on him/her. If the child is a toddler expect a few tears but know that the teachers are trained professionals, they know how to handle it and they've done it a million times. Don't worry but call and check on your baby a few times throughout the day if it will put your mind at ease. Good luck! =]

  3. I literally just took my 11m old for a trial run for 3 hours at our day home.  I dropped her off and was out the door in 5 seconds, I was tearing up and holding back the sobs on the way back to the truck.  I pulled it together and went to a meeting I had scheduled and then went back to pick her up.  I was expecting her to be crying the whole time and really upset.  Well she wasn't - she was happy to see me, she didn't drink anything, but did have some yogart and she didn't really play with any other kids, but she did play with the toys and was quiet.  She did fall asleep instantly in the car seat and slept for an hour when we got back home. I expect it will take a while for her to get her eating schedule normalized at the day home, but it will come.  It was way harder on me, I've had an anxiety headache all day because of it and she's playing as normal and not acting any differently.  So don't worry mama babies adapt way easier than we do!!!

  4. you are always going to be worried about someone who is in charge of your child. you could call and check up on the child or most daycares have web cab so you can see your child at anytime you want. you might expect the child to be scared and the child might even run to you the first couple time.
