  1. No this normal, most geckos don`t know how to drink from a bowl, they drink off of themselves and the leaves and stuff in their cage. You can teach them by spraying the water dish in their cage, they see the water run down the dish and will follow it to find there is a place to drink. Most lizards are like this.

  2. As mentioned before they usually don't drink out of their water dish. what you should have in your leopard gecko's enclose is a hide box. Basically what it is is a container with an opening for you gecko to get into and there is sphagnum moss or vermiculite (can be bought at most gardening stores)inside that is slightly moistened. Inside of this container it is humid and water droplets will accumulate on the inside and he/she will l**k it up. Also it is extremely important and i can not stress it enough since you have a baby leopard gecko. Baby leopard geckos shed more often than an adult leopard gecko because they are growing quickly and the hide box helps him/her to shed since it has high humidity. If your gecko does not shed properly it can lead to loss of toes or an entire foot or in some cases death. always check after your leopard gecko sheds to make sure there is no lose skin that is still on. By the way baby leopard geckos do not eat or drink for the first few days because they live off of their yolk sac. DO NOT put i hide box instead of a cave or other hiding place though because being in the hide box longer then it needs to be is bad for its health due to the high humidity(too much of a good thing is a bad thing). also if you have a female it is important later on because she will lay her eggs in there most likely (they lay eggs whether or not they are fertile). Just make sure to mist the hide box with a spray bottle every day or so. What i used was a small plastic container that held sour cream before. i flipped it upside down, cut a hole and placed vermiculite up to the top of the rim of the lid. if you have any more questions about leopard geckos just send me an email at warbaulten@yahoo.com

  3. That'snormal. Most do not know how to drink out of a dish so they drink the water on leaves.
