My baby parakeet bites what should i do?

well its about 6 to 10 weeks old.like when i try to pet its beak it bites but if i first touch its feet then slowly go towards its beak it doesn't bite.its in a new home she has only been with us for about 2 days.but my male is too calm.they make sweet noises too.well only when my cockateils chirp
