My sitter has told me that my son whom is 4 months old seems sad all and cranky all the time but when hes around me hes always happy and jolly and of course cant stand to see me go out of the room he always want me to hold him....

If what she saying is true what could be wrong with him...what can I do and how can she tell with him being so young? What can I do to make it better...

since she has told me this I'm a little worried

  1. You obviously have a very close connection with your boy because he is happy and content with you. But at this age, from what I have read, separation anxiety isn't really something they understand. Once you're gone, they forget about you. Maybe it is more to do with the sitter not quite reading your son's signs that he wants something or is uncomfortable or is tired. Have faith that you will always know your child better than any one and so you need to spend time with the sitter and your son together. Then you'll know for sure. Babies need food, sleep and cuddles to be happy. Don't be too worried.

  2. maybe you could try staying for a bit next time (out of sight) to see for yourself what he is doing. It's hard to say what might be wrong... at 4 months he might miss you to start with but should be easily distracted once your gone.

  3. awww sounds like ur little baby misses you when ur not around. its normal dont worry about him this dont mean he is sad at all . if he was a year older he would be able to express himself better by throwing a paddy when u left him in the care of someone else . hes just doing what babies do best lol xx
