My baby shower is October 18th. When is the best time to send out invitations?

No more than 2 weeks you don't want them to forget but you want them to have enough time for $$$.

I think it depends on who you (or your hostess) are inviting.  If the invitees are from out of town, then you'll want to send the invitations 4 to 6 weeks before the event.  If they are your neighbors and friends down the street, then 2 to 3 weeks is fine.  Good luck and have a great time!

The person who is hosting the shower would want to send them out about 2 weeks before the event. (Too early and the guests are likely to forget.  Too late and they may have other plans.)

well my baby shower is also on October 18th and I plan on sending out the invites on October 2nd. That would give people 2 weeks to get their plans together. You never want to send it out too early or too late. I figured two weeks was enough time.

I would make sure that your invitations arrive to people at least one month before your shower. That way people have plenty of time to make arrangements to be there. Congrats!! :)

I'd probably send the invites out 5 weeks prior to the event.  That way the invitees have a month's notice.  Two weeks isn't enough notice and 6 weeks you run the risk of the invite being misplaced and people not showing.  Have a great time!!

In the next couple of weeks is fine, give people about a months notice so they can make plans.
