but i am so upset that he is going to be leaving me so very soon and i was wonering if anybody has any idea of how i could remeber him or is there any activities that i could do so that i remeber him and never ever ever forget him. i know i wont ever forget him but i just want something just to look at so that i can remember the good times we both had! thanks a lot

  1. i am sorry honey he sounds like a great rabbit, but you won't forget him you have 7 and a half years of wonderful memories and tomorrow no matter what games it is going to be a sad day for you, get together any photos you have of him and put them in a box, when you feel ready you can look at them and in time you will find yourself smiling at the good times, when we had our chinchilla pout to sleep i thought i would never stop being sad but as time went on i remembered the good times and the funny times, like the time when we lost him in the house, he was down stairs and we searched for hours, i thought he was gone, so dying for a wee i went upstairs to the toilet, for some reason i looked down first, i nearly died my chinchilla had climbed up the stairs and some how managed to jump in the toilet, there he was looking really pathetic and all i could say to my family was i nearly wee'd on my chinchilla he was ok but we now remember the crazy things he used to do and smile, it will be the same for you, you will be upset for a time but as time goes on you will remember your friend and the funny and good times you had, you won't forget sooty honey he will always have a special place in your heart, best of luck for tomorrow stay strong for him my thoughts are with you at this sad time

  2. i'm sorry to hear of your loss! its always very hard, and your right you will never forget him, pictures are a great momento as are little videos... some people keep little clumps of shed fur and some people cremate their pets to keep the ashes people cope in many different ways the most important thing to remember is that no matter what sooty will be in your heart i always tell people to look up a poem called rainbow bridge check it out and stay strong

  3. When my pets need to be put down, I clip a little lock of their hair and put it in one of those tiny silver-plated picture frames. (I got mine at Wal-Mart but they sell them at craft stores, too). I keep them on a table in my house with a photo scrapbook of each fur baby so I can look back and remember them. If they have a metal ID tag with their name on it, I put that on the first page of the album.

I am sorry for your loss. You are so right when you say you're doing the kindest thing for Sooty. He will soon be pain free and happy. You have given him that gift even though it breaks your heart to do it.

    Bless you...

  4. how about you make a poster, with a whole bunch of pictures on it. Or you could take a little box and put some pictures of him and some of his hair in it. It's hard to lose a pet, i've had a lot of pets and it never gets easier to lose them :( So sorry he is sick, you are letting him go to a wonderful place were he can be petted by angels and Jesus until you get there. Then you guys will be together forever!

    God Bless

  5. Aw I had my rabbit put down three years ago. He was 7 and a half years old too! But like you say, it is for the best. I didn't think i'd be as upset as I was when we had him put down but 7years is a long time. If you have many pictures of your rabbit, why not make a scrap book or something?

  6. there is a website and it is a memorial site for animals and its is linked to www.gonetoosoon.co,uk they have a site for animals as well

  7. Take pictures of him.

Make a website for him (try making one piczo.com)
