  1. well it  tryed to bite u cause it probably got ennoyed or hurt somhow when your pulling it out.. its ok, she dosnt hate u or anything... and yes it will probably bite again if u try pulling the hair out... also yes they always bite when they have mouths... and it somtimes deos hurt a bit when there really angry and bite but a little snap waill only hut a bit.. not to much... and yes i have bin bitten before..... i have never bin bitten hard but yea~...

  2. its little it doesn't know you so it want you to leave basically because your 20 times its size when it get bigger and knows you, it'll stop

  3. well they are known to be wild animals that don't like to be messed with. you could try holding hermore so she gets use to human contact. :)) hope this helps

  4. ive got bit by my red eared slider lots of times and heck ya it hurts realy realy bad so when i pick him up i dont put my fingers near his head

  5. Red Eared Sliders aren't social pets. They really shouldn't be handled. Not only can the oils on your skin harm them, but it stresses them out. This can make them sick or kill them. It was her natural reaction for her to try biting, she thought you were going to harm her. I've got two baby RES, they rarely get picked up. But if they do I have to be careful. One is shy and just hides, the other tries very hard to bite. Turtles don't have teeth, but they do have a strong beak-like mouth. It would definitely hurt to get bit, and it would probably break skin. Just let her be and you won't have to worry about it.

  6. Anything with a mouth can bite. Don't put your fingers where she can bite them, and you won't have this problem.

  7. don't take it personally - she maybe thought your fingers were dinner? - be patient, let her get used to you and being handled, maybe wear gloves

  8. most of those turtles don't grow to be very big.. I've had one of those turtles and then an actual "wild" turtle. neither of them were very big.. and the "wild" one bit me once and it really didn't hurt. but if the turtle was really big.. yeah it could definitely hurt. if it was a snapping turtle then YES it would hurt. but a red eared slider turtle won't grow to be very big.. not big enough to hurt when it bites.
