  1. Before giving her a bottle at her schedule time check and see if her tummy is extended.  if so she is full.   Maybe she is now requiring a bottle every 31/2 hours.  Talk to your pediatrician

  2. 6 oz does seem like a lot for such a little baby.  I spoke to my pediatrician about this same issue (my daughter had acid reflux) and he said often babies keep drinking before their brain tells them they are full.  So what you're seeing is the excess milk that simply won't fit in her little tummy!  Try feeding her smaller amounts more often (e.g. 4 ounces every 2 hours), or giving her 2 ounces, then taking a short break and then give her more, this will give her brain time to figure out when she's full.

And it may just be that's how she is.  I've heard people refer to these babies as "happy spitters."  They spit up huge amounts but it doesn't bother them.  It's more of a laundry issue than anything! LOL!

Also, if it's any help it always looks worse than it is.  It may look like the entire bottle but it's likely just and ounce or two.

    Hope this helps!

  3. my baby is 5months and drinks 3 to 4 ounces.first of all my son had the same problem all the way up until 4 months,I tried soy and gentlelease, the father had to drink reg. milk w/ vitamins added,so I thought that might be the problem, but it wasn't.lol.try adding less formula to the water so it's not so thick.try A.R Lipil,I started using it and my son spits up maybe once every other day.

  4. 6 oz way too much for their litte tummy.

my daughter is 4 month old, drink only 5oz every 4 hours.

    she weight 16lbs 90th percentile.

  5. 6oz is alot for her

  6. I agree, 6 oz is a lot for a little baby.  Make sure to burp every 1-2 ounces and that might help.  My little guys spits up out his nose too, it scares the c**p out of him every time.

  7. Take her to the doctor, My daughter did the same thing (Although it never came out of her nose) She had reflux, Its nothing serious, and is easily fixed with medication/special formula. Its just where the tube at the top of the stomach, where the food goes down. Its a bit loose, not as tight as it should be, which makes the milk come straight back up.

When my daughter started with reflux (It didnt show properly until around 3 months) She was sick on and off for a month or so, just as you descibe your daughters sickiness, then it became so she was sick all the time everyday. Id take her to the doctors, Mine sent my daughter to a specialst which was a h**l of a wait (2 1/2 months!!) so the sooner you get there the better.

  8. My baby is 6 weeks old and he drinks 5 oz every 3 hours (he has drank 6 before). I asked his doctor if this was a good amount and he said that it sounded right, but he doesn't spit it up afterwards. If she is consistently doing this, I would talk to her doctor. She may have reflux.

  9. 6oz seems like a lot for a 9 week old

try giving 3 or 4 oz then a dummy if he still wants to suck

  10. My first advice is talk with your pediatrician, when they are so little we take them in often for checkups (2 mo, 4 mo) you can also call the pediatricians office and ask the nurse, they are always helpful.  I find that with my little one (4 months) I defiantly need to burp him, if I do not I will have spit up all over my shoulder or someone else's (or on my floor) I have to keep him upright for at least 15 - 20 min. over my shoulder or propped in his infant seat, before laying him down to allow his milk to go down.  Nursing babies usually do better at keeping milk down.  Formula is heavier and takes a little longer to settle.
