  1. I would if you want her to sleep through the night. It's worth a try. Change her diaper and give her a bottle, if she's really tired she'll probably just go back to sleep.

  2. If you are trying to keep her on a feeding schedule, then YES. Otherwise, she will wake up herself within an hour and you'll need to feed her then.

  3. Leave her be and by the time she wakes she can breastfeed and not have to have the formula...general rule of thumb is "safe to drive, safe to breastfeed" and it takes 2 hours per drink or beer or whatever to get out of your system..so by the time baby wakes you will more than likely have none in your breastmilk..and there is also no need to pump and dump either..that's only for your comfort to express some milk and not leak...but NO don't wake a sleeping baby..if she was hungry she wouldn't be asleep right now..she was just making sure mommy was still there...

  4. aawww !

    I wouldn't wake her up !

  5. Hi,

I think the most important thing to start with is to get your baby into a good sleep routine.  I had massive problems with getting my 4 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting James into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

  6. You do not need to give your baby formula just because you had a drink! You should optimally wait two hours after a drink to nurse, but it's not necessary. Breastfeeding after one drink is just fine.

  7. Maybe she wasn't as hungry as you thought she was. WHen my daughter was younger, she would show signs of being hungry but was really tired. As soon as I'd put her to the breast she'd fall asleep. I soon learnt that she liked the breast for comfort when she was tired and so would show signs of being hungry to get the breast.

  8. When she realizes she's hungry she will wake up again.  No need to wake her if she's already asleep.  Just have it ready for when she does wake up.

  9. never wake a sleeping baby.  When she is hungry again, she'll let you know.

  10. Nah.  Let her sleep.  She'll wake up again when she's hungry.

  11. Rule #1 in my house is never wake a sleeping baby. =) So I'd say no (unless oyur baby is underweight).

  12. more than likely the baby wasnt as hungry as she thought she was just trying to fight sleep. if she is truly hungry she will let you know and wake up on her own.

  13. this happens to me a lot...just leave her she will wake up when she is hungry. My pediatrician has a saying that I live by...*Let sleeping dogs lay* in other words don't wake them up they will wake up when they want/need something
