A few weeks ago i posted a question about having a urinary tract infection.

About 1 month ago i got up one morning and i had this horrid pain towards the end of urinating and my urin was pink.. these symptoms kept up for a week along with having to urinate often. After that first week they started to slowly go away.. I told my parents just in case even though they said if it went away i'd have no reason to see a doctor.

Recently i've only had to urinate fairly often and i might just be crazy but it smells off too....

Just the otherday while at the movies i started getting this ache or pain on my left side right below my ribs on my back. When i got home i told my parents and they told me to put a hot pad on it and take an advil, this helped me not feel it for awhile. They think it's just a pulled muscle because i slept at a friends house and was uncomfortable all night. I fell asleep last night with no pain and when i woke up this morning i didn't feel anything either... but when i got out of bed it started to ache again..

i don't know what it is... since i'm very paranoid about my health i think it may be a kidney infection but i do not have a fever or i'm not getting sick at this time. any ideas?

  1. go to the doctor... it could be a kidney infection, or it could be muscle pain.  Since the advil and hot pad helped and didn't make it worse, my guess is muscular, but I'm not a doctor and can't diagnose...which is why you need to go to the doctor.  Kidney infections are nothing to mess around with.

  2. You most likely have a kidney infection. NOW is definitely the time to see a doctor before it gets worse. I had one several years ago that I left untreated. It did not go away, it spread....to my blood...and throughout my body. Asides from being extremely painful, it almost killed me!

Go to the doctor and get some antibiotics.
