  3. a few epople sed its a virus its self, but we cant, trendo micro said it was a trojan. one of my friends at best buy is telling me there is nothing to do except format your drive and re install

  4. antivirus 2008 is a virus in it's self.....so get rid of it

  5. www.webroot.com and download spysweeper works awesome I had that same problem and it fixed it also ditch the mcafee firwall and go to www.download.com Cnet very reputable source and search for trendmicro 30 day free trial it will help defend your computer trendmicro is one of the best

Edited : Mcafee is just about worthless i have comcast also thought it was a good deal with entire free internet sweet until I read on Cnet that it is hackable I went back to my original trend micro they shouldnt support company's such as Mcafee make them look good so you fall in line

go to this web page and follow the instructions. This does work. nothing to buy.

  8. Anvitirus XP 2008 is a rogue antispyware program.  It reports mostly false positives to try and trick you into purchasing a license for it.  It is a scam - plain and simple.

Comcast spyware is virtually worthless and I've worked with McAfee for a number of years in my job and I've grown pretty sour of them as well.

Basically, you need to spend $30 or so and get a proven antispyware software - the freebies just don't work.

Here's a good article you can read regarding the Warning message you are getting - it is a hoax:

  11. i had that happen too. all that worked for me was to wipe my computer. save your stuff tho, then do it.

  12. Download the free version of Superantispyware.  I use this program and will resolve your problem as this software finds nasty viruses and spyware and best of all does not conflict with your own antivirus.  http://www.superantispyware.com  Update and run and in depth scan.  Free you must update daily on a manual basis or purchase and get auto. updates.
