Yes, it would be great if you really want one.  But it really is up to the city you live; they have rules you have to follow and they have restrictions on a lot of things.  If your backyard is small, there could be a problem with your boundaries, usually there are such things like you have to have at least 4 feet inside your property line, but that depends on your city.  Give them a quick call before you do anything.
