i have an 8 year ol ball python and recently noticed a small patch (the size of the tip of my pinkie) of lightened scales..kinda like when you put a sticker on at the tanning bed.. it's not an injury or laceration and doesn't bother him when i touch it..the scales look fine.. it's just a light patch that showed up and didn't go away when he shed a few weeks ago..i hate to take him to the vet if it's nothing, he just went for his annual vet visit a few months ago..but i don't want to neglect a potential problem...help!!!

  1. it maybe something that comes quite natural to the snake, i myself own two of them, one is four yrs old, the other five. i've not noticed a spot like this on them. to be on the safe side, since your concerned, call your vet first, and describe what it looks like; he'll then tell you if it's necessary to bring your snake in for a check up. good luck and hope i helped.

  2. hes fine that is a normal thing that happens like humans and frecels you shouldnt be worried
