My bank claims that they think they mailed a check back to me but they dont know when or why. The branch employee says that its really wierd because they can find any scanned copies or anything. They just show the deposit and debit. What can I do to get reimbursement for the hassle! I have had to have the makers stop payment and reissue not to mention drive an hour to the direct branch as the teller said i should do so that i get the manager take care of the deposit. They said thata deposit into the ATM doesnt go to bankers but to People behind a computer... The branch employees act like like they are two seperate companies!! Any suggestions ???

  1. After talking to the manager, call the police station and talk to a detective.  They will make sure you get your $ back in less than a week.

  2. Call & speak to the manager of the branch directly.  If they can't help call the 1-800 customer service phone number.  Speak to the manager there.  Now, you say they can see a deposit & a debit.  So did you take the money out right afterwards or what?  Because a debit means withdrawl.  So Im not sure why you needed to stop the payment on the check (before seeing if it was mailed to you) because now you'd be out the money deposited & also the money debited.  The bank may reimburse you for the fees (stop payment) but probably won't.

  3. Without proof that the bank made the mistake, they are not liable to pay your expenses. If you could find your receipt, you could then take it to the bank and get to credit back the money to your account.

You may want to talk to a the President or Vice President of your local bank but not a branch office. If anyone can get something done to help you that is the way to go.
