  1. Go to a financial adviser at the bank, make an appointment immediately

  2. What to do is to write to the Manager or Customer Service Unit complaining and instructing them to credit your account back. It was their fault isn't it?

  3. I'm having problems with my bank at the moment, they think my money is their money, and I'm gonna have to take time off work, to tell it isn't.

Guess they're felling the credit crunch, but its ok, they can just steal their customers money.

  4. nope but they charged me 30 pound for being overdrawn by 20 pence.

    ring the head office.

  5. i'd go absolutly mental and get myself down there and kick up an almighty fuss!

complain to the Banking OMBUDSMAN about your dealings with the bank they may be able to get more money back for you, it does not seem fair taking that amounnt from you. have posted the site. good luck

  7. Hi, Oh yes and i think that banks are so unfair with charges, and they should be stopped.  Also i went into my bank and tried to get travellers cheques with the money in my savings account, they made a holy show of me in front of other customers saying that i did not have enough money in my account, i knew that i did with money over to start saving again.  after waiting for 5 hours i had to ring the bank because they hadn't rang me back, and they found out that the money had been withdrawn from Lamberth in London, and it had come out of my account by mistake, No apology was ever given to me.  I hate banks they are so unfair. (i live in the North West)

  8. If there wasn't enough in your account to pay the cheques how is it THEIR fault you been charged. You should be grateful they are giving you anything back.

Don't write cheques you can't afford to pay.

However if there was enough in your account for the cheques and it is genuinely their fault you should go in your branch and complain tho the manager and if they won't help contact the financial ombudsman.

You can only do this if it was their fault. Otherwise you haven't got a leg to stand on.
