My barn had a home show today..?

So we had a home show today(unrated schooling, we have one every month) and something odd happened. We had to combine two divisions(that's not the odd part). One girl was entered in both of the divisions, but she wanted to do both so she could get the points for year end. We decided that she could do the three rounds and that they would be unjudged, but it was still really confusing. What would you have done?

All answers welcome!! :)

  1. i've never done offical show/unoffical shows where we tally up year end points (most my shows were 3 day breed shows (arab) where we entered as many classes as we could to get as many points as we could)

in this cause i'd suggest that she could ride in whatever classes she wanted/jumping/whatever you considered them, but for one day of showing they'd take her ave points, and give it one score(how she did over all that day) in each event. if she did one type twice, then ave those two scores, and go on like that.

now that's assuming i understood totally what you said (it was alittle iffy towards the end so i guessed).but i would be urked if i was that girl and my classes went unjudged/uncounted at all.

  2. If they were combined, I would have let her jump once, and used the score for all three divisions.  That is how they do combined classes for NRHA.
