My barrel saddle keeps slipping onto my horses withers/shoulders when we work. any suggestions?

  1. You could try a breast collar. That will help your saddle to not slip. yeah I would try a breast collar.


  2. Try a no-slip pas to go underneath your normal saddle pad. I have the same problem with the pony I ride and that works great. I got mine at beval.com You can also use a crupper, but that's a bit unattractive if you're planning on doing any showing. Hope this helps!

  3. sounds like your saddle is rocking forward.i would use a back cinch and a barrel cinch up front.also what is your rig?you may be ridding on a working saddle instead of a barrel racing rig.

  4. first make sure ur saddle fits proper. Try one of the Professionals choice girths they hold the saddle right in place

    also try a rear cinch
