My basement is unfinished and there are spiderwebs all over the ceiling. What do I do?

There are spiders downstairs, but I want to clean the basement and clear the webs out. I am not sure how to go about it. I am terrified of all the spiders falling down on me if I use a broom. I have a ton of clothes downstairs that I need to wash, so I am not sure if I can use bug bombs or not. How should I take care of it?

If you have a vacuum cleaner, use your extension attachment to vacuum all the spiders and webs off the ceiling.

OPEN ALL THE WINDOWS AND RAID  IT ALL.. VACUME ALL THE COBS..

A bleach and water mix, sprayed will kill them and dissolve the webs.   3 parts water, 1 part bleach.

You'll have to wear protective clothing and maybe goggles.

You can spray from a distance with a good sprayer.  Maybe you can rent a tank type, used for spraying trees.

You may want to carry a can of bug spray as well.

well have a bug exterminater come in beause it willkilll the bugs and it wont let anymore in

Typically, the spider webs on ceilings won't have too many spiders in them. A broom works great. Just move backwards and keep the clean part in front of you, and then even if a spider drops, it won't drop on you. Also, something to ease your mind a bit. If there are a lot of webs, and they are really old, there are probably not a lot of spiders. Most spiders won't build on other webs. But it depends on how old the webs are. And also, if the spiders are up there, they usually are pretty good about getting off the web and running away to safety instead of falling down. They know it is likely to kill them if they fall.

As dorky as this sounds, you could always use an umbrella if everything else fails :)

use a bug bomb it wont hurt your clothes and after use rid-a-bug home insect killer it will keep them from comeing back for awile, them get your vacum and suck the webs down
