My bass teacher?

My bass teacher is mostly a guitar player, even when he teaches me he uses his guitar, to show me notes and everything. Is this bad or good, i am note sure if he can teach techniques, but he can teach me music overall. So once agian i ask, is this good or bad, or should i switch my to another teacher?

Well, I took French Horn with a Trumpet player, which was ok with overall music, but did not meet my needs for the specific instrument. I say stick with him, untill you've found a teacher for ur specific instrument, it may be hard to find someone who teaches yours, so keep with him for now...
