  1. Its mold..

One of my family members had this problem..

It usually smells bad when it gets a little hot.

Or it could be leaving things in your bathroom wrapped up and they dry like that..

  2. do you have traces of mold above your shower? air is dryer in the winter, so you may need to run your fan or crack a window during and briefly after shower during summer months. always leave door open when not in use. i realize i'm stating the obvious, but i hope it helps. good luck!

  3. ralphie,

do you notice it just after you come out of the room?

ITS JUST HUMIDITY,DO YOU HAVE AN EXHAUST FAN?IF SO TURN IT ON FOR A WHILE EVERYDAY,BUT TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE,CK UNDER YOUR VANITY,AND AROUND THE TOLIET FOR LEAKS,ALSO IF YOU HAVE AN ACESS PANEL TO GET TO YOUR TUB FAUCET,CK IT TO MAKE SURE THERE ISN'T A LEAK THERE.

  4. You have a leak somewhere.Check carefully corners around the tub and see if you can feel the moisture and where it's coming from.If so then get a professional to open up the walls and correct the problem. What you have is probably mold forming. If this is the case you will have to remove it as soon as possible. If it gets airborne it could make you very sick.Don't take it lightly but do not panic.Just make sure that you don't put it on the backburner.

  5. In old bathrooms the toilet can sweat. Make sure this isnt a problem before going crazy. Hard to control in old houses and upstairs bath rooms in older homes. Then start looking for cracks in tub/shower where moister gets behind walls or areas where floor and walls meet.

Many not so well built bathrooms have windows in the shower area and is a great place for mold to grow. Make sure you dont have leaks in sink and other places also.

  6. Most likely it is mold forming. Do you have an exhaust fan that you use in the bathroom, or a window that you can open when you shower. If you just crack the window or turn on the fan then the steam will not stay in the room and add moisture to the air which causes mold.
