My bathtub is backedup with water?

I live in an old apartment building and the other day I came home and the bathtub was almost full with gross, disgusting water. I scooped it all out and tried some super strong declogger thats supposed to disolve pretty much anything.

Well....that didnt work and tonight it backed up again.

Is there anything I can try to do to fix it myself before calling the landlord tomorrow? My landlords are really slow about fixing things that really need to be fixed, so my guess is that it will be like 2-3 more days before they resolve this problem

Empty the Bathtub again and use your de-clogger again, this time with a kettle of boiling water. This should solve your problem.
