Question:

My battery charger wont charge please help.

I have a battery charger and when i plug it in a red light comes on to show that it is getting power. But when i put the battery's in it wont charge. They are new batteries and they are rechargeable please help

  1. It does sound suspicious especially if you are using new batteries. Make sure though that you are using the right type of batteries.. for instance rechargeable alkalines should not be placed in a charger for NiMH batteries etc.

    The charger can be tested using a voltmeter, however most folks don't know how to use one. If its still under warranty try to get it replaced.


  2. Get another charger.  You didn't say if the charger was old or new...  Take the whole thing down to a place such as Radio Shack and see which is giving you the problem.  Either the batteries or the charger is defective.   Go find out which one is the problem and then replace it.
