My battery keeps dying!!!

i have a LG Chocolate cellphone and lately its been getting on my nerves.it will be on charge all night or day sometimes both and it will say CHARGE COMPLETE. but if i call some one or recieve a call and talk for 5 minutes,yes i timed it, the phone dies!!! what can i do??? ive only had it since december and i bought it new...HELP!!

Batteries only last about a year, less with heavier use. You'll need to buy a new one.

Odds are, either the battery is bad, or the charger is.  

Do you know someone else with the same phone?  Ask to trade chargers with them for the night.  Both of you should charge your phones that night, and try the phones the next day.  If your still doesn't hold a charge, it's probably the battery.  

You could also try switching batteries, but use your own charger.  If your friend's phone dies after 5 minutes, it's definitely the battery.

Some stores carry replacement batteries for cell phones.  Try a K-mart, Walmart, etc to see if they have one for you.  It's probably a lot cheaper than going to the kiosk at the mall - it's certainly worth a try!!
