  1. I would think that you would take him to the vet for proper assessment.  No one can really tell you what is definitely wrong with your dragon online.  Please take him to the vet he may be suffering and in pain.........

I just had another thought.  Is it possible he is brumating.  I would think that he may have done it before but not all dragons brumate and it can be very different for each one.  Please read this link and it will give you an explanation on things you can do to assist your bearded dragon whilst they are brumating

  2. he sounds really sick to me and if you leave it much longer you may lose him, get him to vet that deals in exotics asap, cos none of what you say sounds normal for a beardie,

  3. Give him a lot of water.

He might be dying, he's surpassed the normal lifespan of bearded dragons.

  4. Vet for sure....try putting him in some warm water. It could be dehydrated if your feeding lettuce(iceberg)..gives them the runs and it isn't that nutritional. You should be feeding it Kale if you use lettuce. Collard greens are better.

Change the bulb..even if it isn't blown out..UV could be the problem.  Maybe it's just it's time to go...but I think a vet is the thing to do.

  5. Best thing you can do is find the reptile vet in your area.

Secondly, double check all his housing requirements especially heat and light (UVB). It could be that something is off, and its taking a toll on his health. Hopefully this is it, because it can be corrected.

If he usually eats greens and fruit, try offering mealworms or "king mealworms" (aka superworms). If you don't offer them with long tweezers, crickets would be best offered in something the size of a dish-washing tub or 12 quart plastic container, so he'll have a better chance of catching them.

If he's really thin, be sure he's drinking. He won't be able to digest food if he is TOO dehydrated. Check the color of his tongue ... if its whiteish or light pink, he needs water. After a few laps, it'll be bright red.

If our beardies aren't drinking enough, we sometimes use a spray mister bottle to gently spray their heads/bodies. If the beardie "pancakes" out with his head down, that's great as he's (hopefully) allowing drops to drip down his head and off his nose so he can l**k them easily.

Edit: You'll hear a lot of conflicting information about the lifespan of beardies, anything from 7 years to 15. With good husbandry, they can live longer than most people expect.

  6. All caps are annoying.
