My bearded dragon is shedding.

I am slightly concerned about some around his ears and face that don't seem to be coming off. Can I help this along, or should I leave alone. Doesn't soaking them help with this? What would be a proper way since its close to his face?

  1. If you pull it off, you can damage the new scales underneath.  The old skin will pull on them and possibly rip them, or they could just still be too tender to be exposed.  Give him a bath, and gently pour some water over his head, avoiding his eyes.  It will come off when the new scales are ready.

  2. im not sure if you can use shed aid on lizards but i know you can with snakes look it up on the internet if you can use it on lizards you should try it, it works great on snakes

    Good Luck...dont stress

  3. Dont pull it off, give him 2 more days and then if it still hasnt come off get a Q-tip and wet it with warm water, and dar the skin do that a couple times a day and it should come off

  4. Ok sweetie, yes you can help him along. Put luke warm water in the bathtub. Only up to your bearded's shoulders. Leave him in there for a while. The moisture from the warm water will help moisten the skin on this head too. Then after he's been soaking for a while. Take him put him on your lap and see if you can get a pair of Tweezers. Gentley take and pull off VERY GENTLY AND SLOWLY the pieces that are around his head. But remember a good way to make sure your bearded will shed properly is to take him and let him soak in the warm bath at least 2-times a week.   Hope this helps!~~

  5.   its fine. it will come off. let um be. soak in luke warm water up to his chest if needed. but he fine
