My beautiful petunias got out of hand...?

...they've overtaken my annual beds, which is a good thing but they're crowding out my other plants. Is it possible to move them to another location in the ground? It is mid-July and I'm not sure if this would be wise. I hate pruning them severely as they're blossoming so well.

  1. Petunias profit from being cut back in July, as the summer rolls by they get leggy and spindly . Cut them back to new shoots and they will flower till first frosts.

  2. petunias are annuals so transplanting them might  or might not work,,,   you could transfer them  into pots   and see if that works.... cutting htem back allows room  for the others but they might have longer root systems now which would prohibit the growth of the other plants in the beds
