My bedroom doesn't have a bed in it..?

I wouldn't call it a bedroom... I would just say it's my room.

As far as I know the real estate requires a bedroom to be a room with an over head light.  Not lamps or wall sconces.  And have a closet.  Or storage of some sort built into the room.  You can make it a kitchen and still call it a bedroom as long as you leave the light and closet.  Hope this helps.  I'm from Indiana by the way  don't know if it varies from state to state.

The legal definition of a bedroom, for the purposes of Real Estate is simple: it is a room, attached to the main structure of a single-family home, that has two crucial features:

   1. It has a door that can be closed.

   2. It has a closet.
