i got this speedometer and followed the directions and placed it on my bike. it has a monitor that attaches to the handle bars and a little magnetic thing that hooks to a spoke and when it rotates around its "signal" is supposed to get picked up by a snesor that is placed on the fork, etc. etc. well in any case it only works up to about 10 mph and then it stops reading. does anyone know whats going wrong? does anyone know how to fix it?

  1. check the cords.

  2. Almost every single problem with speedos are the placement of the magnet/sensor. Try re-adjusting the magnet so it very close to the sensor. Check the manual as to were on the sensor the magnet should pass by. Sometime there's an arrow or line on the sensor where the magnet should pass over.

What's happening is the magnet is close (so reads when going slow) but not close enough so as you speed up it won't read.
