  1. I can't remember the correct facts, they used to deduct money but I don't know if that has changed now.  You have to let them know if you are in hospital for any length of time.  Check it out at the benefits office.  They can tell you the correct information.  Just be careful that you do tell them as if there is anything that may have to be deducted and it does not happen, then you may find that it has to be repaid in the future.  That is the hardest thing that may need to be dealt with.

  2. You are supposed to let them know straight away i think.....

  3. The day your Nan was admitted to hospital you LEGALLY had to notify the Local Council AND the Benefits Agency so they could adjust her benefits (either reduce or increase what she is entitled to).

  4. Use the check spelling it is free........Jason  W

  5. As far as I'm aware you must notify them straight away,

Don't worry as they should be very helpful on this matter.

    Thank you :)

I wish you all the best and can't see her losing benefit.

  6. I think you are supposed to inform them that your nan is in hospital. I don't think it will make any difference to her benefits unless she gets extra money for the 'care' options that go with the DLA or Pension Credit. It is difficult to say without knowing what benefits she gets so my advice would be to contact your local DWP office and just go in and ask them. Failing that every hospital employs someone, ususally a qualified Social Worker to advise on these issues.

I hope your nan gets better soon xx
