  1. i had my gallbladder out in february and i live with gallbladder attacks for 9 years there really isnt much you can do when the pain is so bad that you need surgery i would advise her to maybe het her surgery moved up becasue i put mine off for so long that i had to go in for emergency surgery and i almost dies becasue it was so infected and swollen and emergency surgery sucks and my surgery toke longer because my gallbladder was so swollen it toke an extra 15  minutes just to get it out also if you wait to long they may have to do the surgery the old fashioned way which is  a big incison down your stomach and that is horrible to recover from now they do laproscope surgery which was i had and that was a not so good recovery they said the other way i would have been in the hospital for a week i was supposed to be out the same day but becasue of the nature of my surgery i had to stay overnight but she will be so happy she had it done i feel like a new person and i can eat anything i want and im in discomfort at all the only thing that barely worked for me towards the before the surgery was in the er they gave me really strong painkillers and that just toke the edge off but its better then nothing she could aslo try putting an icae pack or a heating pad that kind of helped me but the best and only relief is surgery i know its scary but everyone said that i would be so happy that i did it and i am good luck

  2. she needs an ultra sound to find out if she already build a gall stone and if she does then she needs to have a laser surgery to remove her gall bladder.  I did mine also. Its really pain all the way to my back and chest, i could'nt drive that time, but now Iam ok and healthy again. Nothing can ease but to give her tranquilizer to fall asleep.

  3. I had a lot of those before I had my galbladder removed.  They are very painful and feel like you are having a heart attack.  Unfortenatly there is not much to do for the pain but the let it pass.

  4. I would suggest that if it keeps on happening you go down to A&E as they will have correct and high strength pain relief for your friend.  I did this and as a consequence, I ended up having it taken out the next day.  I would totally recommend it, that dreadful, dreadful pain will never happen again (It's worse than childbirth and I've done that 3 times).

They tend to do the surgey using keyhole and therefore the recovery is only about 2 weeks and you feel SO good afterwards!!

    Best of luck xx

  5. Your friend might have gall bladder stones. Then the doctor will help to remove them, That will solve the problem.

  6. Have her call her doctor. There is a medication I was prescribed that helped me. It was a smooth muscle relaxer which relaxed the gall bladder. As others said, she could go to the ER and possibly get IV pain meds which would help. They gave my husband belladona  orally for the day prior to taking his out. I had terrible nausea and pain for 2 weeks before getting mine out, but trip to ER didn't spead up my surgery. My husbands was taken out within 24 hours of diagnosis.  Its according to your lab values and the doctors working. They kept me on bland diet/clear liquids for 2 weeks.  Anything she eats with fat will be worse.
