  1. It truly depends on the couple. My friends parents got married after knowing each other for 4 months - and they are still together and very happy. But, if you friend isn't sure that he loves her then she shouldn't do it...or at least, she shouldn't have the wedding so soon.

My best advice would be for her to accept, but tell her she wants a long engagement - then see how he reacts to that. It's a little weird that he wants the wedding so soon, so I would be curious to see his reaction to a long engagement.

Oh, and one other thing, she said she isn't sure that he loves her - does she love him? That's pretty important...

  2. If she isnt comfortable with with the thought of the wedding then she shouldnt, because this is a really big step in life and one can't risk being unsure. Good luck to her

  3. First of all, it's not too soon.  My parents met, got engaged 6 weeks later, and got married 6 weeks after that.  They've been happily married for 28 years.

However, you say your friend isn't sure - that's where the problem lies.  No one should get married without being sure.

  4. yes it is to soon to get married it's only been 5 months tell her to get to know the guy better

  5. They need to talk about it together as soon as possible, because this could be a mistake, so they need to workit out together

  6. Way to soon...tell her to take some time.

  7. First of all, engaged after only five months is too fast in my opinion.  Second, if she is unsure she should listen to her instincts.  A lot of marriages fail because people ignored any doubts they had before the wedding.

  8. That is way to soon.

That is just a lot of infatuation, you don't really know if you love someone until you have seen their good bad and ugly side and that could take a couple years to see.

  9. YES!!!!!!!! WAY TO SOON! guy sounds like a bit creepy to me. definitley wait...at least 2 yrs. dating then start planning the wedding. what if....just what if ...he has some awful secret or habit or issue and then shes trapped!!!!!! AAAHHHHH!

  10. erm, tell your mate to speak to the guy, tell the guy that she isnt ready for it, its her whole lifes decision, she needs to know the guy for atleast a year, 5 months is too small, tell her to speak to the guy, tell him to wait for he loves her sooo much. it is not a hasty decision, dont take it in haste, that is my advice to her.

    hope i helped :)

  11. Have a night where you two can spend some time talking about it, then try to tell her how you feel.

If she was my bestfriend, I would tell her it's way too soon.

  12. absolutely been there done that, if he loves her he will wait.

  13. there is no time limit set on love.  however, if your friend (or you) are not ready then simply don't do it.  it is supposed to be a lifetime committent so don;t go into all willy nilly.  follow your heart but let your head lead the way!

  14. to soon.

  15. If she isn't' sure than no, you have to be for certain, you have to want it and know that you want him and no one else ever. If she can't answer that without hesitation than no!

Don't enter marriage lightly or just cause you love someone, there has to be more than that, a deeper love, a passion and same goals in life.

  16. That's way too soon especially if she's not sure.

  17. have her wait

  18. way too soon!

When you marry somebody you should never be "unsure" about it.

Marriage is a huge step and I highly advise your friend to take it slow so she does not end up making the wrong choice in the end.

  19. If she's not sure then she shouldn't do it. It's time for a sit down between the two of them.

  20. If she's not sure....then why should she jump into it.

If she feels more comfortable waiting, she definitely should.

If he really does love her he'd wait for her and understand that she's not ready and it's too soon.

If he insists on doing it soon.....something's fishy....what's the big rush?

They'll be together for the rest of their lives any way....so why rush into the marriage.

  21. If she isn't sure she shouldn't rush into anything.

  22. If she's not sure, she needs to wait.

  23. It is solely her decision to enter into this engagement.  She must decide if he is the person for her.  If she isn't sure, then she better speak to her fiance about it.    Sometimes it is just the jitters, sometimes there are real reasons for this doubt.

I can't judge or say if it is too soon...it is all dependent on her age, maturity, past experience, personality, and the significant other.  It depends if she can love him and trust him.  It depends on his feelings and treatment of her.  There are a lot of variables here.

I personally dated my now husband for 4 months before we got engaged, and we married 2 months after that.  He is my best friend, and the best husband I could have ever hoped for.  At 29, we both knew what we wanted from life and from each other.

  24. It is up to both of them.....but i dating this boy name thierry for 8 months and on v-day he asked me out and we got married in least than a month we had a big wedding and everything.....both it was because we both loved every other and didn't wanted to wait anymore because he lived in west plam beach and i live in haines city but now we live to with each other.......i love him very much and so do he......but you have to learn that all marry have some problem you just have to no how to deal with it and don't let it get to you.....remmber why you got married.....i am just four moths married and we had alot of fight but the best things about them is having make up s**y lol....but if they love each other today or a months from now will not to much of a diff....
