My best friend is pregnant and had an ultrasound today at 9 weeks.?

She has a 5 year old and has had 3 miscarriages since then. Today she went and on the ultrasound they saw the yoke sac, two other sacs and one heartbeat. Is it possible there are actually two babies or does this mean one didnt develope? She is happy with one baby regardless.

It does sound like there was a possibility of other babies in there but the only way 2 b sure is 2 ask some1 who wud no like wait 4 the next scan and ask if there is anything else there or show her the scan pic she jus had done. Congrats 2 ur friend tho! hope all goes well. xxxx

It sounds like one didn't develop. One heart beat is a clear indication of that. They will continue to watch her and make sure the other sac is absorbed into the placenta and doesn't become parasitic.
