My best friend mentions my "past"?

Well not really past, but mistakes. Like I smoked a dollar bill once, just 'cause everyone else was, and she mentions it to a complete stranger! Wouldn't you be offended? that's just a bad first impression... and she always stuff like, "remember when we were super stoned..." in groups, i seriously don't like anyone knowing about that kind of stuff, it's just embarrassing. and she also mentions my poor music taste, well i have good music taste but i like bands that suck, like Good Charlotte. :) she always mentions it! i repeatedly tell her to stop but she won't! how can i make her stop, or should i just deny stuff when she says it?

She is apparently trying to make you look stupid in other peoples eyes because she has a self esteem problem.  People like that feel that there is nothing they can say about THEMSELVES to look good, so they try to make OTHERS look bad.  I'd drop her because she is sacrificing you to the wolves, so to speak, so they won't get her.  She isn't a friend.
