My best friend and I have lived together for about 4 years shes always been there for me especially when my mom passed and now that were 19 she feels like she needs her own space. I understand her need but I can't shake this feeling that I'm losing her just like I lost my mom. She says she doesnt feel like were drifting apart, but I can't help to think that we are! I dont want to lose my best friend especially with school and work taking much of our time already, I cant imagine things when were not living together. what can I do to lost this stupid feeling that were going to have a falling out?

  1. If you don't want to let her go, you have to keep in contact with her. Don't just assume that things will or won't work out. You have to make things happen. But mainly just keep living life. Don't focus you're entire life on that. Even if you do have a falling out, eventually you'll move on.

  2. How far away is she moving? Unless she's leaving town, I wouldn't think it should have that big an effect on your relationship. Sit down with her and lay your cards on the table: tell her how you feel and what you're worried about. If this is something that's really worrying you, you need to bring her in on it; this situation involves the both of you as a single unit, not as individuals. Dig it?
