My best friend was raped 5 years ago and has only told 3 people since then what can i do to help her?

she has only told her friend when it happened, me, and one of her close on line friends her parents have no clue that it had happened. She was in her back yard waiting for her friends to come over and for some reason they had a tent set up in the back yard and they were in it. She was with this one guy that her and her friends hanged out with. He was in high school and she was 10 she told me about it about month ago but she told me she was just held down and she was screaming and kicking and he stop before he did anything. Yesterday she read something about a guy that had raped girls who's ages were from 2 to 23. She called me last night hyperventilating freaking out saying she couldn't get him off of her and that he had raped her. I know that its to late to go to the polices but i don't know what i can really do to help i care so much about her i want to do everything i can to help.

Never say it's too late, TELL THE POLICE, go file a report, the guy is probably still having fun, she has been through it, she knows it's h**l, she HAS to go see the police, it doesn't matter if they don't have evidence, at least they'll try to found him and she can describe what they guy looks like and people will notify the public. The stupidest thing she can do is keep it inside of her, it will tear her apart.

You need to have her tell her parents. I know she won't want to but it's the best thing. And tell the police, especially if you know who it is. Nobody should be able to get away with doing that to a 10 year old. And just be there for her.

Wow you need to convince your friend to tell her parents RIGHT AWAY. she might need you for emotional support. if she refuses to tell then you must take action. tell an adult. your parents, or hers. she may be angry but you would be doing the right thing. but seriously its very important to tell.
