Question:

My best friend won't hangout with me now that he has a girlfriend?

We used to hangout almost everyday after work, weekends, and go to parties and hook up with girls without making any commitments and sometimes never see them again. I thought that was awesome. But now he's hanging out with his girlfriend all the time.

It sucks because it's like I lost my best friend. I don't even know what to think, should I be upset that he doesn't want to hangout anymore, or be happy that he's having a good time with his gf?

Is there anyone out there that can relate to this?

(btw we're 19)

  1. maybe he doesnt want you to embarrass him in front of his gf or the other way around.

  2. omg i relate to you but exept i was the girl....

well i think you should just let them be....

right now he's at a stage where hes really sprung but in a little bit it will all be back to normal!!

thats what happend to me exept he broke up with me then relized he had made a mistake and we got back together! (:

  3. yeah, that happens all the time. just give him 1 to 2 months when he gets tired of being with her all the time. then he'll be begging to chill with you again.

  4. I had the same problem with a few of my friends, the best thing to do is talk to him about it. If he is spending too much time with his girlfriend,  when it doesn't work out who is he going to turn to. He is going to lose alot of friends if he doesnt start spending more time with them, the girlfriend isn't going to be around forever.Try to understand that he does need to spend time with her too though, their going out so he just needs to find a balance between his girlfriend and his friends. Maybe try point that out to him.

  5. omg. this is really typical. like when my friend got her first b.f she used to hang out with him alll the time. i got mad about it :/ but i just starting hanging out with my other friends more and i talked to her occasionally. but then like she felt really bad that we weren't spending that much time together so we set up a day for just us to do something. and then eventually she got tired of him and they broke up lol and it was back to normal. but yeah you should do your own thing and just be happy for him, they're probably gonna eventually break up. and maybe you should try to a find a girlfriend for yourself and maybe all four of you can go on a double date lol.

  6. that's so normal. :]

whenever i get a boyfriend i always dedicate almost all my time to him.

  7. Be happy for him, trust me the right girl will come your way one day when the time is right!

  8. That happened to my boyfriend and his best friend when my boyfriend and i started going out last year. They were and still are like brothers...best friends forever.

When my boyfriend and i got together we had to be in a long distance relationship and he started blowing off his friend to talk to me. I didn't have any idea this was going on or i would've talked to him about it but he never told me. After 2 or 3 months his friend came to me and told me what was happening and how he felt about it (I had known him before so we were pretty close). From that point I talked to my boyfriend and he went to straighten things out with his friend and now things are back to being better than ever, have been for a while.

I would suggest you sit your friend down and tell him how you feel and what's going on in your head. People get caught up with girlfriends or boyfriends but it's no reason to blow off people. He should be able to understand.

I wish you the best of luck with everything :)

  9. well maybe you should grow up and get a girl and double date or somethin to hang out. but h**l s***w him im down with partying andbangin chicks
