My best guy friend is such a jerk!?!?!?!?!? HELP!!!?

My best guy friend ditched our group last night to go hang out with his girlfriend and this other girl and her boyfriend last night. My best friend and i were like his first real friends and he ditched us last nigh to go and hang out with this other girl that he hardly knows and he is acting like he is to good to hang out with us now. Even though pretty much everyone thinks hes a f*g (all of the guys) and we were always nice to him even when people were making fun of us for talking to him. Now he acts as if we are some random people that are talking to him. My friends and i are really pissed off that he ditched us last night to hang out with people that arent even that close to him. I dont want to be friends with him because he has been acting like this for a while and after what he did last night im fed up with this c**p. because he was a new kid last year (8th grade) and we have been best friends ever since then but we started high school a few weeks ago and he has been acting like an a** hole!!!

Should i just tell him off and not be friends with him?

I think it must me something your age group goes through.

My daughter is 13.  She has a friend that is 13.  They have another friend that is 14.  The 14 year old started dating an other guy, now she treats them like dirt.  If they talk to the guy she is dating she gives them ugly looks.
