  1. Maybe they just try to be nice to her. Try telling them how that makes you feel. Im sure that they arent doing it to hurt you!

  2. They (your parents) have actually said that you should be just like her?????

I'd like you to do this.  When you find both of your parents together, hangin out by themselves I want you to ask them this question.

Mom, Dad what's wrong with me.  Wait for them to respond. See what they say....what do you mean whats wrong with you.  Then say, I want to know whats wrong with me and why you want me to be like someone else instead of who I am.  See what they say to that. And then remind them that they have said to you that they want you to be just like this girl.  Thats what you say, that's what you do.  And yeah, shame on your parents for making your feel insecure.......that's one of the worst things someone can do to you, shame on them!!!!!!!

Who has thumbs downed this I don't know.

If you want advice on what to do and how to get to the root of the problem then you ask your parents.  Are you kidding with the thumbs down........man.

  3. Dont take her to your place...

  4. They're probably just being courteous to their guest.

  5. Maybe they're just trying to impress her so ur folks don't embarrass you. I don't know, but just talk to them about it and how you feel.

    Good Luck!!!

  6. Isn't this is a very normal situation whenever you bring a friend into your house?

This happens to me all the time and I just ignore my parents. And I would not get jealous at my friend because he is my best friend and there's no way I should get jealous at him. And it doesn't matter if he is rich or handsome or whatever, parents tend to like their son/ daughter's friends more than their kids when their friends are around.

So don't worry. And if you really could handle this thing then just not take your friend to your house next time.

    Hope this helps.

  7. tell them how u feel...

  8. Your parents must like your friend and feel that she is a good influence.  I dont think they purposely are trying to hurt you feeling. They may see your friend as an achiever of sorts, a friendly personality or some other traits or skill that they want you to take up. Dont feel offended just look at it from another angle to see what they are seeing and you will find your answer. Most parents only want the best for their children. They may also want to make her feel comfortable too. Look and see for yourself.

  9. They're just happy that you've found a good friend -- someone who treats you well and makes you happy.  They're trying to make her feel welcome and support your friendship.  They're just doing it in that clumsy, embarrassing, over-the-top parent way.  Just tease them about it, refer to your friend as "the daughter you never had" or when they go on and on with her say, "well, the Jennifer show is now over, because we're going up to my room."  But let your friend in on the joke so she doesn't think you resent her.
