My bestfriend drunk, spilled his feelings for me?

So basically, my best guy friend called me tonight, definently sounding like he was drunk, told me that he loves me from the bottom of his heart. Could this be how he truly feels?

yea he really likes u more then just friends.because when ur drunk they might really sound stupid but most of what there saying is 4 real.

That love could be friendly love you know it might just be that he cares for you a lot but if you are a true friend you will tell him what happened when he is sober.

I have found out that drunk people say how they really feel since it is easier for them to tell you things. I had the same situation happen to me like 5 years ago. He was my best friend( was because he was killed in a motorcycle accident) and we got drunk one night and he spilled out his feelings for me. While I liked him back, I just did not want to cross the line and lose a great thing over that.
