  1. probably not dieing

the water condition can cause color fading. you might wanna get a filter, or......

you can change the food you give by giving it food that has color enhancers in it.

  2. Well he was probablay not fed for a long time in the pet store so he is probabaly starveing and when I say that I am not jokeing.

  3. My Betta was loosing his color to, I found a color enhancing food for him,

he not only loves it his color is back. Find it at Wal-Mart or local pet store.

  4. Tell your betta that I hope he doesn't die.. :( Where did you get him? What size tank do you keep him in? They might be factors of why he is that way! It could be because the water temperature is too cold or warm, it is sick, or it wasn't taken care of at the place you got it!

Good Luck! and I hope he doesn't die :(

  5. One thing is for sure is that your feeding your betta why to much food. You should never feed any fish twice a day. It does say on the food container that you should feed your fish everyday. But they say this just so that you go through more fish food and make them MORE MONEY!!!!   Your betta may have swim bladder disease or constipation. Stop feeding him for a couple of days and see what happens to him. Fish can go up to 10 days without food so don't worry that you may be starving him. He'll be just fine. then try feeding peas or spinach or some fruits such as kiwi, oranges, pears etc. If he is constipated then this will help if he eats it. Going hungry for a day or so will help him want to eat it and that's important. I feed these things to all my goldfish. They are more apt to get constipation because their bodies are so compact. And you can use a medication called, All-In-One. It will treat anything or almost anything that may be in your tank. I've used it and it works wonderfully. Good luck with your betta.

  6. How big is its tank? Betta Fish should have atleast a gallon? Does it have oxygen supply? How often do you change the water?
