If he look like a pinecone then your betta has Dropsy . Which is most of the time a fatal disease . Though you have a small chance of saving him if you start him on medication right away . First, try to use a antibiotic medicated food , then  get    Kanaplex  or Furan-2.  If you can't get that then get Maracyn 2 , which you can get at all petstores  but it's not as good as the other stuff  Though you betta might be constipated if that is the case , then give him a  pea and see if that helps

He could have dropsy or he could be infected by something.Also he may be really really stressed out

could be a temp change causing bloat. give him a few days then make a decision. he might not live so prepare yourself. best of luck.
