He isnt on his side and he swims over to eat, but he wont go into the rest of the tank anymore. I just cleaned it (not with soap or anything) and treated the water, but I rearranged the tank. Do you think this is why he isnt doing anything?

  1. he probably is scared to move down to a new environment when you switched it up, but he'll eventually move down to the rest of his tank once he calms down and realizes theres no threat or danger.

  2. lol

  3. How sure are you that its not a turtle?

  4. haha turtles :)

mine did this for a day but then he started swiming around again. i didnt think he was sick or anyhting. maybe he just likes it up there.

  5. he's most likely scared

  6. Your turtle is prolly trying to get use to it's enviorment from the change. You should try raising up the temperature a bit too, and he'll be more active.

    hope that helped c[=

  7. sounds like he's hot

  8. my betta fish used to do that he did it because it wasa warmer up top then down at the bottom i put a lite in and now he moves down and up

  9. no probably not i would just call a petstore and ask them or something.. hope your fish gets better [:

  10. Yeah, give him a couple days and he'll probably move down. Bettas actually like the top areas of the water, where they can easily gulp air. If he doesn't go down in a few days, he might be sick.

  11. Sometimes, if you're tank is too deep a betta will hang out at the top. They aren't the best swimmers you know. He could also just be stressed out by the water change and tank rearrangment. just give him some peace and rest for a few days before you do anything further to the tank.
